Level Placement Policy

We try to keep consistency in class levels according to ability, technique, attitude, attendance and physical readiness. Dancers may be moved to other classes if their instructor feels it necessary and if it is in the best interest of the dancer. Please do not request class changes be made so that students can be with their friends. Please respect the instructors decision as to where each student is placed.

Class Policy

The studio reserves the right to cancel/combine classes due to low enrollment or split classes due to high enrollment. You will be notified of any changes. Students must be 3 years old by December of the enrolling year and must be potty trained. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and disciplined manner at all times. Excessive talking, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior may result in the student being asked to leave a class. The studio reserves the right to dismiss a student for inappropriate behavior. Good attendance is mandatory if a student wishes to participate in the recital or any other performances.
 

Studio Policy

We do our best to begin and end on time. Please arrive and be ready to “go” ten minutes prior to your class time. Be prompt when picking up your child. After class, all students need to stay in the building until their ride arrives. Please call if your child is going to be late or absent or if their ride is going to be late. Be respectful of other students before and after your class. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated in the waiting room!
 

Observation Policy

We ask parents to observe all classes from the waiting room viewing windows in Webster City. Please respect the instructors and students by staying out of the dance studios during classes. Our instructors will be happy to answer questions before and after classes in the waiting room. Feel free to speak with Wendy (Webster City) or Denny/Julie/Rose (Iowa Falls) in the office if you have an immediate question. Please no street shoes on our dance floor! Please do not leave young children unattended at the studio. Siblings and friends (not in class) may not remain without an adult. The waiting area is not supervised.
 

Food and Drink Policy

Webster City-All food and drink need to stay on the wood floor near the vending machines. Please NO food or drink on the carpet OR dance studios! We have tables set up for you to use. Please clean up after yourself! Iowa Falls-All food and drink need to stay in the waiting room. NO food or drink in the dance studio! We have a table set up for you to use. Please clean up after yourself!
 

Cell Phone Policy

Since cell phones are becoming more and more popular with kids, it’s important that all phones are turned off during class. This includes the waiting room when taking a break. Please keep all phones in your bags or at home. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen phones!
 

Studio Cancellation Policy

If classes are canceled due to bad weather, it will be announced on KQWC (W.C.) and KIFG (I.F.) and posted on our website. We make it a habit to follow the Webster City School/Iowa Falls cancellations and holiday vacations as well. Personal notifications will not be made. You can assume if school is canceled or released early, we will NOT hold class on that day. We will continue to hold classes during Webster City/Iowa Falls teacher in-service days, unless otherwise announced. All snow days will be made up in the spring.
 

Communication Policy

Current Newsletters and studio notes are located on the bulletin board. All notes will be handed out to our students, posted on the bulletin board and website, but it will be your responsibility to make sure you have the most current notes/information. Extra’s will be available so please help yourself!
 

Parking Policy

Webster City - We ask that you pull up on The Dance Connection’s side to drop off or pick up your child. Please be respectful to others by parking in the parking lot (not in front of the building) if you plan on going inside. Be aware of the young children coming in and out of our building from the dance studio as well as the daycare. Iowa Falls - Please pick up or drop off on the East side of the building. If you would like to come into the studio there is public parking across the street
